Referral Program overview

This referral program is for clients who are looking to reduce their tutoring rate. By referring new clients to the service, you can lower your hourly tutoring cost for a period of one year. The discount amount depends on the type of student referred. The reduced rate will remain effective if you maintain at least two tutoring sessions per month. You will have the potential to reduce your rate to as low as $15 per hour.

The types of clients will be categorized on this page as:

Referring client: You, my current client.
New client: The client that you personally refer, can be categorized as:
  • Regular client: A new client whose student goes to school outside of home.
  • Homeschooled client: A new client whose student is schooled at home.
As a referring client, you will have your tutoring rate reduced by $3 for each new regular client you refer, and $5 for each new homeschooled client you refer. To qualify for the reduced tutoring rate, here are the details:
  • The potential client CANNOT have a current Wyzant account. I will introduce them to Wyzant and I will be the referrer.
  • The new client will need to schedule and show up for 3 tutoring sessions. The discount will apply immediately after the third session with the new client and will be effective for one year.
  • The discount will continue to be effective if the referring client maintains at least 2 tutoring sessions per month.
  • After one year, the discount will disappear.
  • Each reduced rate will be effective for one year. When your rate increases after the yearly cycle, refer more new clients to earn more discounts to your rate.
  • You, the referring client, can refer as many people as possible and reduce your tutoring rate to $15 per hour.
  • ALL of the rate reductions you earned will be reset to the normal tutoring rate if at least 2 sessions a month are not maintained. For instance, if you decide to discontinue tutoring lessons for the summer, when you return, your tutoring rate will return to the normal rate.
To start the referral process, please provide the new client my business email address, mmetutor67@gmail.com. The new client should then send me an email, and the subject of the email should read “New Client”. In the email, the client should provide brief information on the type of tutoring help they will need. From there, I will take the necessary steps to sign up the new client, and you will be on your way to receive the tutoring rate reduction.
